Sweet Surprise!

Hi, all! So glad you stopped in today!

Recently, I was asked to be a guest designer on a blog hop at Joan's Gardens. It went really well, and I thank all of you who commented on my card for all the very kind support!

As the hop is over, I've edited this blog entry to just show the card I had entered for that hop:

The main blossom image is one of the images from Justrite's Beautiful Blossoms set. What a versatile set this is for all occasions! It was colored with Copics Y21 first, followed by layers of R11 for the petals, and YG63, YG67, and G99 for the leaves and stems. A sepia Pigma Micron pen was used for the "seed pod" in the middle and the blossom outline, and a glitter pen was used for bling. It is colored to mimic the flowers in the beautiful dp used throughout -Graphic45's Once Upon a Springtime paper pad. Tea Dye Distress Ink was used on all borders.

The frame was cut with Spellbinders scalloped ovals large, and the main image is cut and embossed with Spellbinders classic ovals large. The label comes from the the Once Upon a Springtime paper pad and was mounted on a die from Fancy Tags by Spellbinders. Two antique brads flank the label. The blossoms, frame and label were popped up for dimension.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed, sunny weekend!
