Masculine cards

Hi, all:

I've been having computer problems lately, so have been going through some files to re-sort them. I found a few scanned cards that I had done prior to my blog being born, and wanted to share them with you. I always find it hard to do more masculine cards and am always looking online for ideas. Hopefully, these will give you some ideas for your guys.

The first card was done, obviously, for Father's Day. The base is SU Whisper White. The bg is Paper Studios from Hobby Lobby. The car and the hat on the inside are from Graphic 45; the car was popped up on the front for dimension. They were colored with Prismacolor pencils and some areas had silver metallic pen added for some pizzazz! The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, and is one that my friend, Lana (blestwithstamps.blogspot.com), let me use (sorry, I don't remember the company), and the flourishes on either side are from SU's Noteworthy set.

The second card has a card base of SU Very Vanilla, and the bg is a combination of papers from my stash. I used a Fancy Tags I label in Very Vanilla, and stamped the sentiment from an SU set. It was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and clear-embossed. Brads were added to give it some masculine bling.

Very quick and easy cards. Hope you like them!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kris

  3. These are great! You're so right about masculine cards being difficult. Why does that have to be so? You did a nice job on these!
